PRESS RELEASE
National Sports ID partners with Teammate Basketball to Ensure Age Rules are Followed
Mahwah, New Jersey February 8, 2017: National Sports ID is proud to announce its partnership with Teammate Basketball, an organization that provides tournaments and games for basketball teams, allowing “everyday” basketball players to receive similar attention and playing time to what highly touted prospects get. According to the organization, Teammate is a “grassroots basketball organization” on a mission to “empower our youth through quality basketball events while positively impacting the communities in which they’re held.” Teammate lists selflessness, work ethic, communication, respect and reliability as traits that will be learned through participation in tournaments. As National Sports ID provides sports identification cards to verify the ages and grades of youth athletes, the partnership will be instrumental in boosting the integrity of each team participating in the tournaments and games that Teammate hosts. Recently, Teammate has implemented new rules making it mandatory for every player to be registered on National Sports ID in order to participate in any of their events. National Sports ID’s user-friendly interface will make it easy for parents and coaches to sign up. Coaches now have the ability to obtain age confirmation on their whole roster at once, avoiding the annoyance having to collect and carry documents for their players throughout the duration of the season. The registration process can be completed in just minutes by simply creating a National Sports ID account and uploading a player photo and relevant documents. National Sports ID customer support will then confirm the documentation information and a verification card will be issued. Coaches are then able to add verified players to their team and submit the team to National Sports ID for approval. This partnership will successfully secure an even playing field in youth sports for years to come.
